Pure Oils, Ghee & Brain Health: How the Right Fats Shape a Healthy Society

Brain is the Fattiest Organ in our Body!

Introduction

The brain is the command center of our life. Every thought, every emotion, every action—whether noble or destructive—originates here. While we often obsess about muscles, skin, or heart health, we rarely pause to ask: What is my brain made of, and am I feeding it right?

Here’s the truth: your brain is about 60% fat. Not just any fat, but a delicate architecture of phospholipids, cholesterol, and essential fatty acids. Which means—what you eat directly shapes how you think, feel, and act.

The Brain’s Fat Blueprint

  • Phospholipids: Build neuron cell membranes, allowing electrical signals to pass smoothly.

  • Cholesterol: Critical for the myelin sheath, the fatty insulation around nerves. Without it, thoughts slow, memory falters, and focus fades.

  • Omega-3 & Omega-6 fatty acids: Give neurons flexibility, improve memory, learning, and protect against depression.

  • Fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K): Keep mood stable, prevent oxidative damage, and support brain development.

👉 Without healthy fats, the brain quite literally starts losing its wiring.

Pure Oils & Ghee: Brain’s Forgotten Heroes

Traditional diets included Bull driven – cold-pressed oils and pure ghee as daily essentials. These are not just cooking mediums; they are building blocks of cognition.

  • Ghee and Bull Pressed Oils is rich in cholesterol and butyric acid—vital for myelin sheath health.

  • Bull Driven – Cold-pressed oils (coconut, sesame, groundnut, mustard, safflower, flaxseed, nigerseed) provide balanced omega fatty acids.

  • Unlike refined oils, they do not strip the brain of nutrients or trigger inflammation, refined oils are very bad.

  • Animal oils may be associated with dementia.

When the brain is well-fed with these pure fats, it is sharper, calmer, and more resilient.

When the Brain is Malnourished…

An unhealthy brain doesn’t just lead to brain fog. It can distort societies. History offers many dark lessons:

  • When leaded petrol damaged children’s developing brains (mid-20th century), crime rates spiked worldwide (>50%). Studies later confirmed a direct correlation.

  • Malnourished brains are more prone to tribalism, fanaticism, racism, and violence.

  • Modern mental health issues—psychopathy, narcissistic personality disorder, ADHD, depression—are often linked to poor brain nourishment in early years.

In contrast, a healthy brain fosters empathy, wisdom, and resilience—the foundation of ethical societies.

Think about it:

  • With an unhealthy brain, people once believed burning women alive in the name of sati was tradition.

  • With an unhealthy brain, some thought “eating an apple” was a great crime.

  • With a healthy brain, we begin to see through illusions, laugh at our past ignorance, and move closer to understanding life, nature, and truth.

Foods That Shape the Brain Beyond Oils & Ghee

  • Millets: Rich in slow-release carbs + micronutrients = stable energy for the brain. Foxtail Millet and Browntop Millets have fibers that have PMF that may cleanse brain.

  • Nuts & seeds: Natural sources of Omega-3 and minerals.

  • Caffeine (coffee/tea): worsen anxiety, ADHD symptoms, and sleep cycles, pregnant women and even before pregnancy its better to avoid caffeine.

  • Refined sugars & processed foods: Starve the brain of nutrients, disrupt dopamine, and worsen mood disorders.

The Bigger Picture

The state of the brain is the state of society. A well-nourished brain resists manipulation, fanaticism, and hate. It is capable of empathy, deep thought, and creativity. If we want healthier families, communities, and nations, the journey begins with what we put on our plate.

👉 Healthy fats are not optional—they are foundational.

Most Effective Way to Use Bull-Driven Cold-Pressed Oils

(As recommended by Dr. Khadar Vali)

For maximum benefits, these oils can be taken raw in small amounts:

  • Consume 1–2 teaspoons daily on an empty stomach, preferably in the early morning.

  • Sit in a lotus pose or any comfortable upright posture with a straight spine.

  • Take the oil plain (do not mix different oils at the same time).

  • Wait at least 30 minutes before eating food.

  • Rotate oils weekly for balanced benefits — e.g. Groundnut → Sesame → Coconut → Safflower → Mustard → Niger → (repeat).

While these oils can also be used in cooking, their most potent benefits are retained when consumed raw. If lotus pose is not possible, any relaxed seated position is fine.

Conclusion

The brain is not just an organ. It is the lens through which we perceive reality. Nourish it with the right fats—pure oils, ghee, natural foods—and you nourish not just your own life, but society itself.

As the saying goes:
Food builds brain. Brain builds thought. Thought builds society ( to an extent ;) ).
