Ingredients

    • Large leaves (e.g., Guava, Peepal, Betel): 3–4 leaves

    • Small leaves (e.g., Tulasi, Mint, Fenugreek): 7–8 leaves

    • Other possible ingredients:

      • Bark (e.g., Cinnamon)

      • Tubers (e.g., Ginger, Turmeric)

    • Water: 150–200 ml structured water (prepared by storing water in a copper vessel for 5–6 hours)

Directions

Kashayams are simple yet powerful herbal decoctions recommended by Dr. Khadar Vali for various health conditions. The preparation method remains the same, while the herbs or leaves used change depending on the health issue.

Recommended Kashayam for General Immunity

Dr. Khadar Vali’s Protocol

For increasing general immunity, Dr. Khadar Vali recommends the Sapta-pathra Kashayam (Seven-Leaf Decoction), prepared in the sequence below.


1. Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon) — Durva

A sacred and cooling grass known for its astringent and diuretic properties. Rich in minerals and antioxidants, Durva is also used in rituals dedicated to Lord Ganesha.


2. Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum) — Tulsi

A powerful adaptogen and sacred plant worshipped as an embodiment of Goddess Lakshmi. Tulsi supports immunity, respiratory health, and mental clarity.


3. Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia) — Guduchi

Called “Amrita” or divine nectar, Giloy is an Ayurvedic Rasayana herb known for its immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and liver-supportive effects.


4. Bael (Aegle marmelos) — Bilva

A sacred trifoliate leaf offered to Lord Shiva. Bael leaves aid digestion, balance blood sugar, and support gut health with their rich phytonutrients.


5. Pongamia (Pongamia pinnata) — Karanja

A nitrogen-fixing leguminous tree with medicinal leaves and oil. Used traditionally to treat skin issues, wounds, and inflammation.


6. Neem (Azadirachta indica) — Nimba

Known as “Sarva Roga Nivarini” — the curer of all diseases. Neem is a potent antibacterial, antiviral, and blood purifying herb that supports detoxification and skin health.


7. Peepal (Ficus religiosa) — Ashwattha

A sacred tree revered across traditions, known for high oxygen release and longevity. Its leaves and bark aid in respiratory and metabolic health.


Protocol Instructions

Drink the decoction made from one leaf type for four consecutive days before moving to the next leaf. Continue until all seven are completed, forming a 28-day cycle.

Preparation: Boil 8–10 fresh leaves in 2 cups of water until reduced to 1 cup. Drink warm on an empty stomach in the morning. Optionally add a pinch of palm jaggery ( not cane Jaggery).
